New ‘Game of Thrones’ Episode 4 Photos Are Here (and Sansa Is Still All ‘WTF, Bran?’)
Ten photos from season seven, episode four of Game of Thrones, “The Spoils of War,” were just released and my, oh, my is there a lot going on. Though HBO's episode synopsis is vague—“Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) fights back. Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) faces an unexpected situation. Arya (Maisie Williams) comes home”—the new photos are quite telling.
When we visited Westeros last Sunday night, Jaime Lannister and his army overtook Highgarden (and kindly poisoned shade queen Olenna Tyrell [Diana Rigg]); Jon Snow (Kit Harington) came face to face for the first time ever with beautiful creature Daenerys Targaryen aka Khaleesi (Emilia Clarke) and her island of Dragonstone; and the Unsullied infiltrated Casterly Rock. Meanwhile, Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) proved she's much more than just a pretty face with a sharp tongue as she came into her own as the interim leader of the North in Jon Snow's absence. Back at The Citadel, Ser Jorah (Iain Glen) was completely healed from his bout of Greyscale much thanks to Samwell Tarly (John Bradley-West), and geared up for his next adventure. Let's take a look at these ten episode four photos and see what we can make of them. Shall we?
Khaleesi Squad, Plus Jon Snow and His Furrowed Brow
Stop. Who goes there? Do you have dragons? Because we have dragons. Kthanksbye.
And, UGH, It May Be Theon Greyjoy
Why So Serious, Theon?
Oh, right. Memba that time you claimed to kill Jon Snow's two youngest brothers, but Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) is actually alive (and acquired a taste for talking in riddles and Xanax) and Rickon Stark (Art Parkinson) was killed by that horrible human being Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon)? Be afraid, be very afraid.
And Missandei Spills the Beans to Bestie Dany About Her Steamy Hookup with Grey Worm
They could be discussing war tactics, but the little smile on Missandei's (Nathalie Emmanuel) face clearly says they're talking about bow-chicka-wow-wow or at least Missandei is still thinking about it.
Or Are They Talking to Jon Snow?
It's all about perspective. Let's see some chivalry, Jon Snow. Bend the knee, bend the knee, bend the knee!
Back In King's Landing, Cersei Lannister Schemes with Tycho Nestoris, the Iron Bank's Teller of the Month
Waging war ain't cheap, honey.
And Jaime Lannister and Bronn Look a Wee Bit Worried
But he's cuter when he worries.
Further North, Brienne of Tarth and Pod Appear to Be Beaming with Pride
Is that...Arya Stark back in Winterfell?! Or maybe Tormund (Kristofer Hivju) told Brienne she looked pretty.
Littlefinger Further Plots His Rise to Power
Uch, why can't he just go away?
And Finally, Sansa Stark Tries, Yet Again, To Understand WTF Bran Is Talking About
Three-Eyed Raven, come again?
