The One Significant Brienne Detail You Probably Missed in the ‘GoT’ Finale

*Warning: Spoilers ahead*

The final season of Game of Thrones has come to a close and the fates of our favorite characters have been revealed. While most stories ended with sad twists of fate, Ser Brienne of Tarth's (Gwendoline Christie) story wrapped up rather seamlessly—minus that whole Jaime Lannister situation.

Brienne always wanted to be a knight, a dream realized when Jaime knighted her earlier this season. Now, in the final episode, Brienne has a new role: Lord Commander of Bran's (Isaac Hempstead Wright) Kingsguard. In the finale, we find her flipping through The White Book of the Kingsguard (her new duties as Lord Commander, including completing the stories of the knights). In true Brienne fashion, she finishes his story fairly (er, mostly), documenting his journey from prisoner of the Starks to his ultimate death "protecting his queen."

Blink and you might miss it: While seated at the desk, you can see her Kingsguard armor is now adorned with a raven sigil—an obvious choice for the new king, Bran the Broken, aka the Three-Eyed Raven and a clear departure from Bran Stark's wolf emblem.

The best part? Seeing her former squire, Podrick (Daniel Portman), now as a knight in matching armor (pardon us, that's just dust ashes in our eyes).
