Gabrielle Union Speaks Out in Support of Meghan Markle in Advance of International Women's Day

Meghan Markle has a lot of great friends in her corner these days. The latest celeb to show her support after last night’s groundbreaking interview? Gabrielle Union.

ICYMI: On Sunday, the 39-year-old former royal and her husband, Prince Harry, sat down with Oprah Winfrey for a tell-all conversation, titled Oprah with Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special. During the interview, the couple opened up about their decision to step down as senior royals, their relationship with the media and their newly announced pregnancy.

Prior to the segment, Union posted a tribute to the Duchess of Sussex on Instagram. “You already know what time it is,” she captioned the image featuring herself, her husband, Dwyane Wade, and Markle from 2015, “I hope we all continue to rally around women who dare to stand up for themselves and others. We see you, we support you, we got your back.” Not to mention, she made the location of the photo, “We got you sis.”

The post also came hours before International Women’s Day (today, March 8).

And it wasn’t long before fans and followers also showed their support in the comments section of the post. One user wrote, “Yesss !! We stand with you #meganmarkle !!” while another added, “Absolutely! We shouldn’t be judging someone by what the media prints about them! And as a female in this day and age we should be supporting each other not pulling each other down.”

First Serena, now Gab? Meghan has quite the support system.
