Gabrielle Union Woke Up to a Special Birthday Message from Her 2-Year-Old Daughter, Kaavia

Gabrielle Union just celebrated her 49th birthday yesterday, and while the star received wishes from major celebs ranging from Tracee Ellis Ross to Ciara, there was one message that stuck out the most.

That message was from none other than Union's 2-year-old daughter, Kaavia James, who started off the day by wishing her mom a happy birthday. Union shared the clip of Kaavia to her Instagram account, saying, “Waking up to @kaaviajames birthday message set this glorious day off right!!! Loving all the love today!!! THANK YOU!!”

In the video, Kaavia is seen standing in her crib sporting a purple butterfly pajama set, while an unseen voice asks, “Do you know what today is? It's your mom's birthday. Can you say happy birthday to your mom?”

Kaavia then says “Happy birthday, mommy. I love you,” along with blowing her a kiss. She even breaks into a rendition of the “Happy Birthday” song.

Fellow celebs were just as enamored with the video as Union was, like Ava DuVernay who commented, “What’s better than that!? Beautiful birthday to you, Sis!” Roselyn Sanchez added, “She’s beyond ♥ Happy Birthday beautiful lady,” and Union's go-to stylist, Thomas Christos Kikis, said, “@kaaviajames I need this for my birthday!!! Are you on cameo???”

In addition to getting special birthday wishes, Union spent her big day hanging out on a boat with her husband, Dwyane Wade. She was seen sporting an orange two-piece from Kotomi swimwear and a beige cowboy hat in a series of photos she posted with the caption: “Forty-FINE. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEEEEEEEE!!!”

She also had Wade take some saucy pics, which was captured in another photo she shared, where she said, “Why YESSSS, I am a Scorpio. What gave it away?? #49.”

We love you, Gabrielle. Happy birthday!
