The season three premiere of Netflix’s Fuller House is only seven days away, and the fact that the show is celebrating its 30th anniversary makes us feel, ahem, super old mature.
Netflix released today a first look at what’s to come in the revival’s third season, and it has tons of memorable moments, familiar costumes and classic catchphrases to remind us why we fell in love with the Tanner family in the first place.
In the trailer, D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber) are sitting on the living-room couch, reminiscing about the 30 years (!) they spent living under one roof. To celebrate the momentous anniversary, Danny (Bob Saget), Uncle Jesse (John Stamos) and Joey (Dave Coulier) return to the house where it all began, and they’re wearing the exact same outfits they wore in the premiere episode of Full House.
But things take an interesting turn when Steve (Scott Weinger) reveals he’s not only getting married in Japan but D.J. is going to be a bridesmaid in the wedding. (Awkward.) D.J. eventually comes to terms with the situation, saying, “Steve is really getting married.” And Kimmy (for the first time ever) gives her friend a crucial piece of advice, adding, “And not to you, which is fine if you happen to hate fairy tales and happy endings.” We couldn’t agree more, Gibbler.
Fuller House season three drops on Netflix starting September 22.
