Move! That! Bus! ‘Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’ Is Making a Comeback

Call Ty Pennington, because Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is coming back.

ABC’s home-reno show from the early aughts is making its return—this time, on HGTV in 2020.

If that sounds like forever ’til you get to Ty, don’t fret: HGTV also announced that they’re going to air 100 existing episodes of the original show (which aired from 2003 to 2012) leading up to the reboot’s ten-episode premiere.

The show selects families struggling with financial hardship or tragedy to completely overhaul their new homes, usually outfitting them with hyper-specific features for members of the family that need extra accessibility options.

Trading Spaces also returned to the small screen in 2018, and former TLC home-improvement show While You Were Out is set to premiere as a crossover on both TLC and HGTV in 2019.

Sorry, resolutions. We’re not actually leaving our couch this year after all.
