We have good news and bad news. We’ll start with the bad: Everlane is officially retiring their Modern Loafers.

Yup, we’d never thought the day would come where we would have to say goodbye to these stylish flats made from 100 percent Italian leather, but, alas, it has arrived. The brand launched the comfy shoe back in October of 2014 (made popular with the help of Angelina Jolie) and, after five years, has decided to officially take them off the market.

Everlane made the big announcement on Wednesday with a post to their official Instagram account.

“Farewell to the Modern Loafer. 2014-2020,” the captioned read. “On October 1st, 2014, we launched our first-ever shoe—The Modern Loafer. After five years, it’s time to say goodbye to the shoe that started it all.”

So, what’s the good news? There’s still time to snag a pair (or three), and they are currently on sale for almost 50 percent off ($90). Available in black and camel, these work staples are on final sale, meaning no returns or exchanges. Just be sure to order a half size up (ya know, because of the narrow fit).

If you need us, we’ll be *adding to cart* while we still can.
