It's been a good great year for Emma Stone. Win the Academy Award for Best Actress? Check. Achieve status as Hollywood Darling 2017? Check. Receive epic promposal from an Arizona teenager who also happens to bear a striking resemblance to La La Land co-star Ryan Gosling? Yup, check out the video to see for yourself.
Cut to 17-year-old high school student Jacob Staudenmaier and his amazing re-creation of La La Land's opening scene. He danced, he sang, he caused a ton of high school parking lot traffic, all in the hopes of getting Emma Stone's attention to ask her to prom.
Well played, Jacob.
Despite his valiant effort, Stone politely declined like a classy-ass woman with a personal note that Staudenmaier read on national television (ABC's Good Morning America) for all to hear.
She wrote: "JACOB, thanks for making the greatest proposal I have ever received. I can't tell you what an honor that was and how much I smiled through that entire beautifully orchestrated video. I'm in London working, but I hope you have the best time at prom, and I'm grateful you thought of me. THANK YOU. P.S. I do see Gosling around the eyes. Love, Emma."
Think if we sent a desperate totally cute video to Ryan Gosling he'd be our date to Cousin Janice's wedding?
