Elisabeth Moss took home the Emmy statuette for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series last night, but, get this, she doesn’t remember accepting the coveted (and much deserved) award!
Following the ceremony, E! News’s Zuri Hall chatted with the Handmaid’s Tale actress backstage, where Moss confessed she “blacked out” when her name was announced. She said, “I really did. I don’t really remember much of it. I’ve never experienced them actually calling my name, so it was a very strange feeling.”
The actress further explained the surreal moment: “It’s like an out-of-body experience—and then you immediately try to remember everybody you have to thank!”
Although the star’s speech was cut off, Moss says it was no biggie. When asked if she’d like to add anything else, Moss exclaimed, “No, I crushed it!”
Sure did, Elisabeth.
