Drew Barrymore Will Recreate Her ‘Never Been Kissed’ Character in New Skit on Talk Show

Drew Barrymore has played so many iconic characters throughout the years that it's hard to keep track of them all. From her role as little Gertie Taylor in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial to her butt-kicking turn as Dylan Sanders in Charlie's Angels, the actress has covered a lot of ground in her years as an actress.

Arguably one of her most notable roles is that of Josie “Grossie” Geller in Never Been Kissed. The 1999 romantic comedy has resonated with audiences for years and it even remains one of Barrymore's favorite movies that she's made. When the flick celebrated its twentieth anniversary back in 2019, Barrymore told People, “That film is so close to my heart and I am still Josie Grossie.”

And Barrymore meant it when she said that. The actress decided to revisit her famous ‘90s role and she was caught dressing up as Josie while filming the new season of her talk show, The Drew Barrymore Show. The image was shared by Entertainment Tonight on their Instagram.

This is not the first time Barrymore has reincarnated her iconic character. Last November, the actress dressed up as Josie to do the segment of “Drew's News” on her talk show. She added a comical element by pretending that Josie had transported straight from the late nineties and was a little behind on current events.

Barrymore has also referenced the movie on her Instagram. When a popular meme started going around that referenced how everyone's fall plans would be halted by the Delta variant of coronavirus, Barrymore decided to hop in on the joke and use some images from her classic rom-com.

We can't wait to see how Drew incorporates Josie into her show this time around.
