On a recent episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, actress and host Drew Barrymore went into complete caretaker mode after witnessing a fan lose it and become overcome with tears in the live studio audience.

Last week, the producers shared the BTS clip on the official The Drew Barrymore Show Instagram page. The video starts with the 50 First Dates, 48, alum coming to the rescue of an emotional fan, who suddenly starts crying in the middle of the taping. “Are you okay?” Barrymore asks. “What happened?”

At first, Barrymore thought something bad happened to the fan to make her cry. “Whose ass do I have to kick?” she asks in the clip while walking over to the audience member. However, the person sitting next to the fan (presumably her friend) reassures Barrymore that nothing was wrong, and goes on to share how much her friend loves her.

Relieved, the Charlie’s Angels star says, “Oh, thank god. It’s nothing bad!” Barrymore jokingly adds, “Because I would take them down like, “WHO MADE YOU CRY?!”

The fan (still crying) personally shared that Barrymore has been her “childhood idol” for so long. Completely touched, Barrymore gave the fan a big hug and comforted her while also sitting on her lap. “This is such an honor to meet you,” the Blended actress says, before adding that she cries on the show “all the time.”

In the comments section of the post, Barrymore’s followers praised the talk show host for her kindness. One person commented, “This is why I love Drew more and more and this has actually made me cry too.” Another follower wrote, “I just love that she was ready to throw hands on her behalf! Love it!!!”

How can we *not* love her?
