9 ‘Downton Abbey’ Movie Posters Just Dropped & Lady Mary’s Bob Is on Point

The Crawley gang and their faithful staff are back and ready to host the visit of a lifetime. And from the look of these nine new character posters, their motto is still go big or go home to Downton Abbey.

In the forthcoming Downton Abbey movie, Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery), Lady Cora (Elizabeth McGovern), the Dowager Countess (Maggie Smith), Lady Edith (Laura Carmichael) and, of course, the Earl of Grantham (Hugh Bonneville) are gearing up for a visit from Queen Mary and King George V (Queen Elizabeth’s grandparents!). Here, we get a glimpse of what to expect when royalty comes calling. Hint: Some familiar faces are returning.

Focus features

Robert, Earl Of Grantham & Lady Cora

The world that surrounds Downton may be changing, but Robert’s commitment to a white tie at dinner is unfailing—especially when hosting a king and queen.

FOcus Features

Mr. Bates & Anna

Luckily, Lady Mary still has Anna (Joanne Froggatt) to keep her in check. Now, let’s just hope Mr. Bates (Brendan Coyle) stays out of trouble this go around.

Focus features

The Dowager Countess & Lady Mary

The tiaras! The jewels! The angular bob! These two haven’t changed one bit, thank goodness.

focus features

Henry & Tom

Speaking of change…things for Henry Talbot (Matthew Goode) and Tom Branson (Allen Leech) most certainly have shifted since the beginning of the series. But what about since we last saw them?

Focus Features

Carson & Elsie

Carson looks more pleased than usual to be coming out of retirement to help at Downton once again. Let’s just hope his health has improved with Elsie’s careful watch.

Focus Features

Mr. Molesley & Baxter

It looks like Mr. Molesley is still splitting his time between Downton and the schoolyard and Baxter is still right by his side.

Focus Features

Lady Edith & Bertie

Well, Edith is looking sassier than ever. The magazine business seems to suit her well. Or is it life as a married woman?

Focus Features

Mrs. Patmore & Daisy

Daisy is all grown up, but surely Mrs. Patmore is still bossing her around. Some things never change.

Focus features

Thomas & Andy

One of these two is going to cause trouble when Downton Abbey hits theaters on Friday, September 20. (Our money is definitely on Thomas.)
