Eva Longoria Shares First Trailer for ‘Dora and the Lost City of Gold’

We finally have a first look at the live-action Dora the Explorer movie, and it’s making us feel really, really old.

Eva Longoria just released the first official trailer for Dora and the Lost City of Gold, and it looks like a childhood version of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.

She captioned the post, “I’m so excited to share the trailer for Dora and the Lost City of Gold with all of you! This was such a fun project and I can’t wait for all of you to see #DoraMovie in theatres ‪August 2!”

The trailer follows Dora (Isabela Moner) as she takes on her biggest adventure to date: high school. Of course, things take a predictable turn when Dora is forced to drop everything to save her parents (Eva Longoria, Michael Peña), who took a journey to the lost city of gold.

In addition to Moner, Longoria and Peña, the film also stars Jeff Wahlberg (Diego), Eugenio Derbez (Alejandro), Adriana Barraza (Abuela Valerie), Temuera Morrison (Powell), Nicholas Coombe (Randy) and Madeleine Madden (Sammy). Benicio Del Toro and Danny Trejo will voice Swiper and Boots, respectively.

Dora and the Lost City of Gold is directed by James Bobin (The Muppets), with Julia Pistor (A Series of Unfortunate Events), Eugenio Derbez (Overboard) and John G. Scotti (Alice Through the Looking Glass) serving as executive producers. The screenplay is written by Nicholas Stoller (The Muppets) and Matthew Robinson (The Invention of Lying).

Guess it’s time to pull out the Map!
