Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin surprised everyone watching the 69th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards with an epic 9 to 5 reunion.
During Sunday night’s awards ceremony, the three queens presented Alexander Skarsgård (Big Little Lies) with the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie and utilized the opportunity to shout out their classic 1980 film. Parton said, “Personally, I have been waiting for a 9 to 5 reunion ever since we did the first one.” Us, too, Dolly. Us, too.
Although Fonda and Tomlin lost out to Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Veep) for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, the 9 to 5 reunion was quite possibly the biggest win of the evening.
Welcome back, ladies. We’ve missed you.
