Whoa, Disney Just Bought 21st Century Fox (and Is One Step Closer to Taking Over the World)
Disney just solidified its place at the top of the studio totem pole by purchasing most of 21st Century Fox’s assets for a cool $52.4 billion…NBD.
With the groundbreaking sale, Disney now owns Fox’s film and TV studio, National Geographic and FX, sports networks, 30 percent of Hulu and more. Casual.
But what does this mean for more grown-up Fox favorites like the R-rated Deadpool? Disney CEO Bob Iger said, “As long as we let the audience know what’s coming, we think we can manage that fine.” Ryan Reynolds isn’t so sure.

The Deadpool star shared a photo on Twitter today of his character getting escorted out of Disneyland.
Welcome to the family, Fox. In the words of our 47th favorite Disney ride, it’s a small world after all.
