Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese Are Turning This Bestselling Book into a Hulu Series

leonardo dicaprio and martin scorsese

Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese are best known for their big-screen collaborations (Gangs of New York, The Aviator and The Wolf of Wall Street, to name a few), but the pair is now setting its sights on a new platform: Hulu.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, DiCaprio and Scorsese are adapting Erik Larson's bestselling 2003 book, The Devil in the White City, into a TV series for the streaming service.

If you haven't read it (which, please stop reading this story and buy it now if you haven't), it's about the intertwining lives of an architect and a serial killer during the 1893 Chicago World's Fair. It's supremely suspenseful and chilling and, in our opinion, has the potential to make great TV.

THR reports that the project has been in development at various studios since its publication 16 years ago, with DiCaprio nabbing the rights in 2010.

Few details about the series are available at this point (including whether or not DiCaprio will star), but, having read the book—multiple times—we cannot wait to see how this one turns out.
