As if we needed another reason to worship at the altar of Dame Helen Mirren, the legendary actress just hit the red carpet in Cannes with pink hair. Swoon.

Attending the premiere of The Best Years of a Life over the weekend, the 73-year-old debuted a gorgeous new hair color that's part bubble gum, part rose quartz, all fun.

The color coordinated beautifully with her gorgeously sparkly Elie Saab gown. Makeup-wise, she stuck to the pink theme with a soft pink blush and a swipe of fuchsia lipstick. Oh yeah, and pink nails. Queen of sticking to a color story.

Her hair color is actually pretty similar to the hue Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams rocked a few months ago in Paris, and the two of them together have us wondering if we should head to our colorist immediately.

Is bubble gum the new blonde? Stay tuned to find out.
