This Couple Tied the Knot at Costco and You’ve Kinda Got to Love It
A wedding should, after all, be a reflection of your interests. And we love a duo that interprets that super literally.
Take, for example, Sydney-based newlyweds Sue Berkeley and Eli Bob, who decided that no place would be more fitting for their wedding festivities than—wait for it—their local Costco.
After saying “I do” at an altar adjacent to the tire aisle, the bride (wearing a purple gown) and groom decamped to the Costco food court, where they treated guests to pizza and hot dogs.
“The initial idea of the wedding was meant as a bit of a joke,” the bride told A Current Affair. “I’ve got a big family and so does he, and I wondered how we were going to do it. Then I thought I should get married at Costco because I’m there all the time—so it just made sense.”
Three cheers for practicality, Sue. And another for living your truth.
