If you’ve noticed how Clare Crawley is wearing a ring on that finger in her latest social media posts, you’re not alone. However, you might be surprised to learn that it’s not the sparkler she reportedly received from her Bachelorette contestant turned fiancé, Dale Moss.
So, who gave Crawley the ring? And how much did it cost? Keep reading for all the details.
Unfortunately, the answer is no (though we wouldn’t be surprised if she debuts her engagement ring in the near future). In an Instagram post, Crawley explained why she wears the band on that particular finger, revealing it was a gift to herself. “People have noticed I wear this ring on my wedding finger and have asked why!” she wrote. “The truth is because it is a commitment to myself first and foremost, to embody self-love.”
The ring features a cluster of diamonds that range in shape, according to Kathryn Money (the senior vice president of merchandising and retail expansion for Brilliant Earth).
“Clare’s distinctive ring appears to feature a scattered cluster of pear, round and emerald cut diamonds,” she told PureWow. The gems are situated on a “delicate white gold or platinum band.”
While each diamond is less than a carat, they add up quickly. In fact, Money predicted the ring has around 2 to 3.5 carats in total.
Money estimated the promise ring to cost anywhere between $5,000 and $10,000, “depending on the quality and specific characteristics of the stones.” Cha-ching!
The Bachelorette airs on Tuesday at 8 p.m. on ABC.
