Charlize Theron Shares Extremely Rare Pic of Her Daughter from the Set of ‘Mad Max’

Mother’s Day may be over, but Charlize Theron is keeping the momentum going and celebrating her first year as a mom.

The Bombshell star shared a rare pic of her daughter on the set of Mad Max: Fury Road and posted the sweet moment on her Instagram in honor of the five-year anniversary of the film.

She captioned the post, "I became a mom right before we started shooting. At least my child will forever have the fun fact of ‘I spent most of the first year of my life in a war rig.’"

The photo shows Theron (in full costume) holding her daughter close with a purple heart emoji hiding her face for privacy reasons. Theron rarely shows photos of her children, with the last pic being from summer 2019, so this is a big deal.

She adopted Jackson in 2012 and then her other daughter August in July 2015. The Atomic Bomb actress has always been open about adoption.

“Even when I was in relationships, I was always honest with my partners, that adoption was how my family would look one day,” she told People. “This was definitely not a second option for me. It was always my first.”

Recently, the actress has been showing off her favorite moments from the movie in a series of behind-the-scene snapshots including a group selfie with her costars, a first glimpse of the infamous war rig and a pic of her impressive makeup.

While we’re sad to hear that Theron won’t be reprising her role for the upcoming prequel, we’re glad to catch a peek at her time on set (and this cute mom-daughter moment).
