With a few more days to go until our weekly sob-fest (aka This Is Us), here’s a little something that’s guaranteed to get those tears flowing.

As Star Wars fans tuned in to the brand-new Last Jedi trailer earlier this week, there was one four-legged friend who was especially captivated by the clip.

Carrie Fisher’s French bulldog, Gary, was photographed looking up at his mommy with what we can only assume are sad puppy eyes and…gah, we’re not crying, you are.

Gary Fisher’s official Instagram account shared the sweet snap, with the caption, “Just watched the new trailer of The Last Jedi and my mom looks more beautiful than ever,” along with the hashtags #garymisseshismom #garyloveshismom.

The actress filmed her role as Commander Leia before she passed away last year from cardiac arrest at the age of 60. The highly anticipated film hits theaters this December, and while we can’t wait to watch the latest installment of the galactic adventure, it’ll be bittersweet to see the incredible Fisher on the big screen one last time.

Fisher and her adorable pup had a special bond. She adopted Gary as a therapy dog to help with her bipolar disorder, and she would often bring him along to industry events.

Fisher’s assistant took Gary in after the actress’s death, so we know he’s being well looked after. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t miss his mommy. Us, too, Gary. Us, too.
