We have some bad news for Carole Radziwill fans.
The best-selling author just announced that she’s quitting The Real Housewives of New York to focus on other aspects of her career, and we can’t help but wonder if the upcoming reunion has anything to do with her decision.
“After six seasons on Bravo’s RHONY, I have decided to return to what I do best—journalism and producing,” she said in a statement.
The housewife went on to thank fans for their support over the years, adding, “I am sure this does not come as a surprise to any of the viewers, all of whom have been supportive, encouraging and kind. My original curiosity about reality television has waned over the years, and I am focusing on TV and writing projects that better suit my more steady temperament.”
Radziwill joined the cast in season five and quickly became a fan favorite with her “no B.S.” attitude. Although she didn’t specify a reason for her departure (cough, Bethenny Frankel, cough), she admitted that she’s looking forward to life after RHONY.
“I have worked with amazing producers, made great friends, and I’m thrilled to leave frenemies behind,” she continued. “I will remember this entire experience with delight, humor and veracious accuracy. Next.”
We’d love to hear what Andy Cohen has to say about this. The Real Housewives of New York airs on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
