Camilla Parker Bowles Speaks Out About the Queen in Rare Interview: ‘She Doesn’t Forget Anything’

Camilla Parker Bowles is sharing rare details about her mother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth.

The Duchess of Cornwall, 73, recently kicked off the 2021 Royal Ascot by sitting down for a candid interview, where she discussed how the monarch, 95, really feels about horse racing.

In the clip, Bowles is sitting across from presenter Oli Bell, who asks about the queen’s love for horse racing. “This is her passion in life, and she loves it,” the duchess says. “You can tell how much she loves it.”

Bowles explains that Queen Elizabeth is “encyclopedic about her knowledge” and can effortlessly recall minute details. “She can tell you every horse she’s bred and owned, you know, from the very beginning,” she continues. “She doesn’t forget anything.”

“I can hardly remember what I bred a year ago,” Bowles jokes.

Bell goes on to ask about the Royal Ascot, which is a star-studded horse racing event. Bowles confirms that the queen has been looking forward to it for months, especially since last year’s race was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Bowles adds, “Everybody who loves racing, it is the most special week. Isn’t it?”

The post’s caption read, “Today was the first day of Royal Ascot 2021. To mark the occasion, The Duchess of Cornwall has spoken to @ITVRacing presenter @olibellracing about the Royal Family’s history with racing and horses. In this clip, Her Royal Highness talks about The Queen’s love of racing and the excitement of Royal Ascot.”

We’re impressed Queen Elizabeth can remember all of her horses, since we can barely keep track of her 11 great-grandchildren.
