Brie Larson Just Taught Oprah Winfrey How to French Tuck

Not only is Oprah Winfrey unfamiliar with Tan France’s go-to move, the French tuck, but she also doesn’t watch Queer Eye. (Just let that sink in.)

Yesterday, the media mogul, 65, attended the Women in the World Summit at Lincoln Center in New York City. When Winfrey ran into Brie Larson backstage, she admired the 29-year-old actress’s Celine boots before asking about her shirt, which was tucked into her skirt…but only in the front.

The best part? The Captain Marvel star casually revealed that she learned the trick from the Fab Five—Tan France, Antoni Porowski, Jonathan Van Ness, Karamo Brown and Bobby Berk.

Winfrey shared a video of the exchange on Instagram and wrote, “Ran into @brielarson back stage at @womenintheworld. She was wearing the cutest outfit ever and gave me lessons in French Tuck-ing that @tanfrance had given her.”

In the clip, Winfrey compliments Larson’s boots before saying, “I love this half-in-half-out tuck thing, too.”

“Oh yeah, I learned that from Queer Eye,” Larson responds. “It’s the French tuck! Come on, you gotta do the French tuck.”

The French tuck refers to when someone tucks the front of their shirt in but leaves the back hanging out, which—according to France—makes you look taller.

When the Queer Eye star caught wind of the exchange, he reshared the video on his personal Instagram account and wrote, “OMFG!!! Now THIS is the best way to start the f***ing day! Now let’s see if @oprah will let me French tuck her, IRL!!”

Your move, Oprah.
