Good news for Bad fans: We haven’t seen the last of Walter White.
At Thursday’s Comic-Con panel celebrating the tenth anniversary of Breaking Bad, cast members revealed that Better Call Saul (the prequel spinoff) will intersect with Breaking Bad’s world in future episodes.
“If you love Breaking Bad, you’re going to get to see that world expand a bit,” said Bob Odenkirk, who plays Saul. “You’re going to meet people who were referenced in Breaking Bad who you’ve never met, but you heard their name.” OK, so what about Walter White and Jesse Pinkman? Probably not in season four, but never give up hope.
“Not to be a downer; we just hate jerking folks around,” creator of Bad and Saul Vince Gilligan said. “But I would suspect that we would be sorely remiss if these characters didn’t appear on the show before it ended.” So, yeah, it’s possible.
The Breaking Bad Twitter account also tweeted “THE CROSSOVER BEGINS” in reply to a tweet from the Better Call Saul account: “‘You’re going to see some stuff that’s going to look very familiar in a delightful way.’ - @petergould
In the words of Walt, “Stay out of our territory”…unless, of course, that means more Breaking Bad crossovers.
