According to the film’s makeup department head Ve Neill, we can all get our own Cooper glow without living that rock star lifestyle. Neill told Refinery 29 she spray-tanned Cooper every day to make him look “gritty, distressed and like he’d been riding a motorcycle during a heat wave.” Yum.
“I had him do full-body [spray] tans every other week, then every morning I would re-tan him in the chair,” Neill dished.
She said she relied on Vita Liberata pHenomenal 2-3 Week Tan Mousse to keep Cooper looking like a bronzed, rough-around-the-edges Adonis (with a few skeletons in the closet).
Neill also revealed she used Tom Ford Bronzer and MAC’s greenish gray Ashbury eye shadow to make him look “like he’d really been up all night drinking,” but we’ll skip that step because no thanks.
Who knew we’d be taking beauty inspo from Bradley Cooper?
