Netflix Drops ‘Black Mirror’ Season 4 Premiere Date with Eerie New Trailer

Listen up, Black Mirror fans: Netflix just dropped two major bombshells and, well, season four is closer than you think.

Black Mirror will return for a fourth season on Friday, December 29, with six new stand-alone episodes. But wait, there’s more. To accompany the announcement, Netflix also released a chilling new trailer that introduces us to the technology-gone-wrong stories we’ll see this season, and we can already smell the Emmy potential.

Since the episodes are stand-alone and can be watched in any order, it’s hard to pick out exactly what’s happening in the 120-second clip. But we do know one plot will follow a young couple (Georgina Campbell and Joe Cole) who are given only 12 hours together. Another will feature Jodie Foster as an overly surveillant parent, and the final episode will follow a tourist-trap crime museum with an, er, interesting attraction.

The fourth season of Netflix’s Black Mirror will be available for streaming on December 29, and we’ve never felt more ready.
