You Can Get Free Stuff on Black Friday Just by Waiting in Line

1. Walmart
When? Thursday starting at 4 p.m. (Black Friday sale begins at 6 p.m.)
Walmart early birds will get free coffee, hot chocolate and snacks.
2. New York & Company
When? Friday starting at 8 a.m.
Get your hands on a free stuffed teddy bear with every $75 purchase. (One per New York & Company customer; while supplies last.)
3. Bed Bath & Beyond
When? Thursday from 5 p.m. to midnight; Friday from 6 a.m. to noon.
In-store shoppers will get a 25% off coupon, valid for their entire Bed Bath & Beyond purchase.
4. Belk
When? Thursday starting at 4 p.m.; Friday starting at 6 a.m.
People in line will receive a gift card to Belk worth anywhere between $5 and $500. There will be one $500 winner in every store, so bring a friend to increase your odds.
5. Fred Meyer
When? Friday starting at 5 a.m.
All Fred Meyer shoppers will enjoy free coffee, juice and donuts. We highly recommend getting there early, since the first 100 customers will also receive a gift card.
6. Jcpenney
When? Thursday starting at 2 p.m.
Lined-up patrons will receive a gift card to JCPenney, which falls in one of three tiers: $10, $100 or $500.
7. Lowe's
When? Friday starting at 6 a.m.
The first 300 Lowe’s customers will get a coupon, which is valid for $10 off a $50 purchase. Shoppers will also be entered into a raffle for a $500 gift card. (No purchase necessary.)
8. Shoe Carnival
When? Friday starting at 6 a.m.
The first 100 customers will receive a free scratch-off card for their Shoe Carnival purchase. Prizes range from a free pair of Puma shoes to a store credit worth up to $100.
