We’re simply not ready to accept the end of HBO’s smash-hit Big Little Lies, and there's a possibility we might not have to.

Though it only spanned seven episodes, the captivating TV adaptation of Liane Moriarty's hit novel rose to the forefront of the zeitgeist and, naturally, our curiosity. It’s really no surprise Big Little Lies garnered such critical acclaim and a hearty following given that the brains behind the limited series were none other than famed TV writer David E. Kelley (The Practice, Boston Legal, Ally McBeal) and artistic director Jean-Marc Vallée (Dallas Buyers Club, Wild).

HBO has touted the drama as a limited series, but lead actress, executive producer and our inspiration in life, Reese Witherspoon, has been talking about a potential season two. Witherspoon hosted a Facebook Live revealing that she has been speaking with Big Little Lies author Liane Moriarty about generating ideas for a second installment. She urged viewers to reach out to Moriarty via Facebook and express their need for more Madeline, Renata, Celeste and Jane.

While Vallée has said that he doesn’t see the need for a second season, he would gladly take part if the cast was willing and able to return.

So you’re tellin' us there’s a chance....? And off to Facebook stalk Liane Moriarty.
