‘7th Heaven’ Star Beverley Mitchell Is Calling for a Reboot of the Hit Series

It’s been 23 (!) years since 7th Heaven aired its first episode. And now, Beverley Mitchell (Lucy Camden) is celebrating the show’s anniversary by rallying together fans in support of a hypothetical reboot.

It all started last week when the 38-year-old actress posted a slideshow of photos on her personal Instagram account. The collage includes throwback pics from the set of the popular drama series, featuring Mitchell and former co-stars Jessica Biel (Mary), Barry Watson (Matt), David Gallagher (Simon) and Mackenzie Rosman (Ruthie).

She wrote, “#tbt 23 years ago this week #7thHeaven premiered Thank you for letting the #Camdens be a part of your family! I am honored to have brought #LucyCamden to life! And I will be forever grateful for the family it gave me! I love you always @jessicabiel @realbarrywatson @mackrosman #davidgallagher #family #wheniseetheirsmilingfaces #thewb #oldschool #90s.”

Mitchell concluded the caption with a brilliant idea: “Now if only we could get a reboot! Would you be down to watch?” *Slowly raises hand*

7th Heaven originally premiered in 1996 and ran for ten successful seasons until the final episode in 2007. Although it originally aired on The WB, it later moved to The CW. In addition to the Camden children, the series also starred Stephen Collins (Eric) and Catherine Hicks (Annie).

If 7th Heaven gets picked up for a reboot, it would join a slew of other TV revivals, like The Conners (Roseanne), Will & Grace, Gossip Girl, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Murphy Brown and Beverly Hills, 90210.

You have our full support, Beverley.
