The Best Moment at the Grammys Happened in the First 9 Minutes

Five ladies walk onto the stage for the Grammy Awards opener...and one of those ladies is the one and only former First Lady Michelle Obama, so we can all go home now. The best moment of the whole damn night just happened in the first nine minutes of the show.

More details: The former first lady, a longtime friend and supporter of Alicia Keys, joined the host alongside three other power women—Jada Pinkett Smith, Jennifer Lopez and Lady Gaga—to drive home a really important message about the lifelong impact of music.

In Michelle's own words: “From the Motown records I wore out on the Southside to the 'Who Run the World' songs that fueled me through this last decade, music has always helped me tell my story,” she said. “Music helps us share ourselves, our dignity and sorrows, our hopes, our joys. Music shows us that all of it matters.”

But that's not all: She was wearing a shimmering pantsuit while she did it.

With that, we're calling it. Who run the Grammys? Michelle Obama. No contest.
