The 8 Most Relatable Celebrity Couples
Have you ever looked at a celebrity couple and thought, I feel like I know them? Same. Whether it’s because they portray our favorite characters on TV, speak to our souls on social media or always feel comfortable oversharing with Ellen DeGeneres, some stars just seem to get us. Here, eight celebrity duos who have completely won us over with their ability to tell it like it is, no matter the circumstances. Celebrity couples...they’re just like us.
1. Chrissy Teigen & John Legend
Sure, John Legend may be on the reserved side, but Chrissy Teigen refuses to hold back on the couple’s, er, interesting moments on Twitter, so we pretty much feel like we know the real John Stephens. First of all, we love the fact that Teigen said “no” when Legend tried to break up with her at the beginning of their relationship. But she seems to be getting her payback, considering she calls him out on just about anything, like embarrassing TBTs, not receiving enough credit for inspiring “All of Me” and the time he went to China and didn’t tell her.
The next time we gather with friends for a friendly game of Cards Against Humanity, we call John and Chrissy for our team.
2. Olivia Wilde & Jason Sudeikis
Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis rarely hold back on discussing their parenting triumphs (or lack thereof), so when they openly admitted to not having a clue about raising their two cherubs, Otis (3) and Daisy (1), we couldn’t help but want to enlist them as our partners in crime—even if it results in a spontaneous 4 a.m. trip to the White House.
3. Emily Blunt & John Krasinski
OK, so Emily Blunt starred in our favorite movie of all time, The Devil Wears Prada (major bonus points). But John Krasinski also revealed that he, like us, developed a deep, uncharted obsession with the film long before he began dating Blunt. Not to mention the two are madly in love. We can’t wait to see the utterly terrifying new feature film they made together, A Quiet Place. Viewing party at the Blunt-Krasinski home? Perfect-temperature lattes on us.
4. Mila Kunis & Ashton Kutcher
Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher made waves when they announced they were banning Christmas gifts for Wyatt (3) and Dimitri (1) this year (with good reason, of course). Parenting decisions aside, these two are quite possibly the most dedicated Dodgers fans in all of Los Angeles. Good parents with a side of childlike fun? We’ll take two, please.
5. CHANNING TATUM & JENNA DEWAN
Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum started dating in a totally unconventional way (they met in 2005 on the set of their super-sexy dance film, Step Up). From cruel proposal pranks to handling Tatum’s stripper past like a total pro, Dewan ranks as one of the most tolerant partners in all of Hollywood (and she’s a great sport to boot). Stay sexy, you two.
6. PORTIA DE ROSSI & ELLEN DEGENERES
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi may be going on nine years of marriage, but their playful antics aren’t going anywhere. De Rossi once revealed that they frequently engage in photo wars where she and DeGeneres sneakily snap pictures of each other during naps, walks and unexpected moments. DeGeneres is the resident daytime TV prankster, but De Rossi nails it every time.
7. Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds
It takes a certain kind of woman to handle Ryan Reynolds’s sense of humor, but it also takes a certain kind of man to handle Blake Lively’s clapbacks. Lively and Reynolds hilariously troll each other on social media. (He started it.) We also love that they banned the word “bossy” from the vocabulary of their daughters, James (2) and Ines (1), and aren’t afraid to cop a feel in public. We applaud their dedication to keeping it real.
8. DAX SHEPARD & KRISTEN BELL
All hail the Khaleesi and King in the North of relatable marriage woes. From breaking “toxic” dating habits to having their daughters, Lincoln (4) and Delta (2), walk in on them while doing the deed, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard help us remember that we’re all human. Don’t mind us as we admire their imperfectly perfect relationship from afar.
