Barq’s Debuts New Frozen Root Beer Floats…in a Tube

It appears driving through the local A&W to curb your root beer float craving is a thing of the past, because Barq’s is revolutionizing the popular drink by putting it in a tube.

Yep, the soft drink company just debuted a brand-new product that is bound to become a go-to for summer. The treat features a combination of vanilla ice cream and frozen root beer, swirled into an enjoyable on-the-go tube.

If you’re thinking, why put it in a tube? You’re not alone. While it may seem childish, the new version is actually kind of brilliant. Not only is it (sorta) mess-free, but it also solves the problem of having too much ice cream and not enough root beer, and vice versa.

Each pack contains 24 squeeze-up tubes and can be found at your local grocery store or through Instacart.

The root beer floats are joining a slew of summer-approved treats, including frozen horchata, lemon Dole Whip soft-serve and boozy—we repeat, boozy—ice cream floats.

Come to mama.
