Hannah Brown’s Scandalous Date Backfires in New ‘Bachelorette’ Episode

*Warning: Spoilers ahead*

Last week on The Bachelorette, the contestants drove Hannah Brown to her breaking point after she decided to give Luke P. another chance. And now, the 24-year-old star tried (and failed) to leave the drama behind as she continued her journey to find love.

Here’s what went down in season 15, episode seven of the ABC series.

Garrett's (bare) Bungee Jump

The episode begins with Brown returning to Riga, Latvia, where she invites Garrett on the first one-on-one date. When she meets up with him, Hannah reveals that today’s date will help them build trust with each other. Right on cue, a naked couple appears out of nowhere and bungee jumps headfirst out of a suspended cable car.

Although Brown appears confused by the bare bodies, we highly doubt she wasn’t aware of the twist. (Nice try, producers.) The bungee couple greets Hannah and Garrett, and no, they still aren’t wearing any clothes. After wishing them luck, the pair leaves the Bachelorette stars to question whether they’re making a mistake.

Nevertheless, the nudity doesn’t stop Hannah and Garrett from climbing to the top of the cable car and jumping off…butt naked. They celebrate their accomplishment with a bottle of Champagne. (Natch.)

Later that night, the couple sits down for dinner, and Garrett wastes no time sharing his feelings for Brown. “It meant a lot that you were so vulnerable today—both emotionally and physically,” he says.

She returns the favor, thanking him for easing her fears before giving him the rose. Typical.

The Group Date

Back at the hotel, another date card arrives, and it’s addressed to Dustin, Dylan, Connor, Jed, Luke P., Mike and Tyler, which means Peter is the lucky recipient of the last one-on-one date.

When Garrett returns from his outing, he immediately tells the other contestants about his bungee jumping excursion, and Luke P. is pissed. In a conversation with producers, he says, “Who would want to be naked with that guy? There’s no way Hannah went bungee jumping naked…with Garrett.” Jealous, much?

For the date, Brown takes the group to Riga Central Market, where they browse the aisles, drink Moonshine and taste-test pickles. When the Bachelorette brings up her date with Garrett, Luke P. is appalled that she thinks it’s OK.

“Like, her body is her temple,” he tells the producers. “And to expose it to anyone that isn’t her husband—that’s a slap to my face.”

At the after-party, Luke P. proves that he hasn’t learned anything from his past mistakes. After asking Brown if she’s ever been cheated on, he reveals that he experienced that same feeling when Garrett returned from his one-on-one date. “I’m just thinking of you holding him bare skin,” he says. “It really pissed me off.”

Although Brown assures him that it wasn’t in a sexual manner, Luke P. tells her it was a “slap in the face” before saying he’ll support her no matter what. (Erm, what?) Despite Luke’s best efforts, Tyler walks away with the group date rose.

Peter's One-on-one Date

On the final date of the episode, Hannah and Peter learn more about a Latvian spa ritual. Basically, the method combines sauna and spiritual elements, all while incorporating massage techniques.

So, while it doesn’t look as risqué as Garrett’s date, one thing’s for sure: The temperature in the room is at an all-time high—both literally and figuratively. After making their own massage oils, the couple strips down and enters the sauna, which they turn into their very own make-out chamber.

“If this works out, we are 100 percent getting a sauna in our place,” Peter says.

That night, Peter praises Brown’s confidence before revealing that he draws his strength from his career as a pilot. When she presses him about his job, Peter reveals that it hasn’t negatively affected his dating life. In fact, his last relationship ended because they weren’t right for each other—not because distance was an issue.

After admitting that he’s falling in love with her, Brown gives him the rose.

The Surprise Visitor(s)

When Peter returns from his date, Jed sees it as an opportunity to sneak out and visit Brown. This includes standing outside her window and singing the “Mr. Right” song he wrote in episode two.

When she invites him in, Jed continues to serenade her, which prompts Brown to thank him with a steamy make-out sesh. “I really am falling in love with you,” he whispers.

The next day, Brown surprises the men when she enters the room and asks to speak to Luke P. in private. After leading him to an isolated room, Brown reveals that his comments during the group date aren’t sitting well with her.

“You’re not my husband. You don’t own my body, you don’t own me,” she says. “It’s my body.”

Although he admits that he wrongly assumed before hearing her side of the story, Luke goes on to accuse Brown of “twisting my words.” After apologizing, he asks for forgiveness.

“I’m trying to figure out how I feel,” Brown says.

Later that night, Brown cancels the cocktail party and moves straight into the rose ceremony, where she sends home Dustin and Dylan.

So, is Luke P. nearing his end on the show? Guess we’ll have to wait until The Bachelorette returns to ABC next Monday, July 1, at 8 p.m.
