Season five Bachelor star Jesse Palmer is returning to the small screen for an all-new show that is guaranteed to produce more TV proposals. (#Bless)
Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss is launching a brand-new dating competition series, appropriately titled The Proposal. Palmer is set to host the ten-episode reality show, which will feature eligible contestants battling it out in an attempt to win over a mystery man or woman.
Each one-hour episode will feature ten male or female daters competing in four pageant-style competitions: the first impression, beachwear, romantic trivia and (last but not least) how well they click with their unknown love interest’s most trusted family members. Dun dun dunnnn…
After four rounds, the two remaining contestants will meet the mystery man or woman and propose. Basically, the goal is to woo the secret single enough for them to say yes to the proposal, so yeah, prepare for a whole lot of heartbreak.
Palmer appeared on the hit ABC series in 2004. Although he chose Jessica Bowlin in the season five finale of The Bachelor, the couple broke up a few months after the show ended. According to Fleiss, Palmer’s return has been a long time coming.
“I couldn’t be more excited about The Proposal,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “I think Bachelor Nation is going to love it. It’s also great to welcome back a member of the Bachelor family, our host, Jesse Palmer.”
The Proposal will premiere this summer on ABC, and we’re so ready for it.
