Ava Phillippe, daughter of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe, is set to make her official introduction into society at the iconic Le Bal des Débutantes in Paris, otherwise known as a super-fancy prom that’s basically just an excuse to wear a haute couture gown
Phillippe was invited as one of 20 young women (ya know, just normal gals with famous parents) to celebrate their coming-of-age on the world’s stage. But like we said, it’s mostly about what she’ll be wearing. And according to Vanity Fair, the 18-year-old will wear a Giambattista Valli haute couture gown and be escorted by Maharaja Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur. Bow-chick-a-wow-wow.
This year’s ceremony will take place at the Peninsula Paris hotel on November 25 and will feature six Americans (including Phillippe) along with 14 additional women from around the world.
Although Phillippe’s day job is far less glamorous than her upcoming debut, she is no stranger to attending big-time events. Last month, she accompanied her mother to the Primetime Emmy Awards and was even mistaken for Witherspoon at HBO’s after-party.
Who wants to be Le Bal “crashers” with us?
