Athlete Majorly Breaks Royal Protocol in Photo with Prince Harry

There are a ton of royal rules (like no shellfish or even playing Monopoly), but sometimes those rules are broken in a big way (yup, we're looking at you, Beyoncé). Most of the time it's unintentional or just in good fun. And for the latest rule-breaking occurrence, luckily, the Duke of Sussex had a great sense of humor.

While greeting the U.K. team for the next Invictus Games, and posing for photos with the group, one athlete decided to have some fun and throw up bunny ears behind Prince Harry's head. A very risky move, but totally worth it for the 'Gram.

The official account for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex posted the sneaky move on their Instagram on Tuesday. The post's caption read, "Some more fun moments from the announcement of the UK Invictus team 2020. Because they work hard…and play hard too! #IG2020" 

The account has been sharing fun snaps from the event of Prince Harry interacting with the new competitors. He was (of course) all smiles and laughs, with the little prank just making him a part of the team. 

Also, it wasn't the only silly exchange at the event. Another athlete accidentally brushed against his butt and the royal's reaction was nothing but a big laugh. He's clearly no stranger to dealing with broken rules (or embarrassing mistakes). 

The 65 sportsmen and women Harry greeted will be competing in the Invictus Games, a Paralympic-event for injured and wounded military veterans and service personnel. They will represent the U.K.(one of 19 nations) in the Netherlands in an array of sports like wheelchair basketball, cycling and swimming.

As for the prankster, there's no info on who he is, but we hope Prince Harry keeps a close eye on him at the next photo shoot.
