Body-Positive Queen Ashley Graham Goes Unretouched for ‘Swimsuits for All’ Summer 2018 Campaign
We loved when Ashley Graham posed with her 53-year-old mom for her last Swimsuits for All campaign in February. But she just upped the body positivity ante in her new summer line, and we’re all about it.
Graham went completely unretouched for her 2018 summer Swimsuits for All campaign, which she cheekily named Power of the Paparazzi. The unedited images are meant to flip the negative paparazzi narrative on its head and embrace women’s natural bodies (so-called flaws and all) instead of picking them apart.
Graham opened up to InStyle about the personal experience that led to her campaign message, saying, “When shooting this campaign in Miami, the paparazzi began following us and taking pictures. Looking at their photos sparked an idea, ‘Why not use their photos as the campaign images?’”
The swimwear designer continued, “These raw and unedited images would remind women that they are ‘flawless’ in their own right and that they already have the perfect beach body!” Hear, hear, Ashley.
