Last Friday, Hurricane Harvey made landfall, subsequently causing catastrophic flooding and damage across Texas and parts of Louisiana. And while the effects are absolutely devastating, we’ve overall been impressed with the major outpouring of aid and support. Case in point: Anheuser-Busch has halted production at one of its Georgia breweries, replacing cans of beer with cans of water, which they’re sending to those in need. (They started on Monday with 20,000 cans but are now up to 155,000.)
Our heart is warmed by this example of a company providing community outreach. But it’s not the first time Anheuser-Busch has shown charitable chops: It provided similar help after Hurricane Sandy in 2012 and during the ongoing Flint water crisis.
