HBO Max Gives Fans a Confusing Look at Carrie and Big’s Relationship in New Teaser for ‘SATC’ Spinoff

And just like that...we have our first footage of the Sex and the City reboot, titled And Just Like That…

Following the official broadcast of last night’s 2021 Emmy Awards, HBO aired a trailer ad for all of its shows debuting in the upcoming months, including the SATC spinoff, Succession, Euphoria, Curb Your Enthusiasm and more.

While the video made us excited for the entire fall lineup, there were a few short seconds that really caught our attention. At approximately 25 seconds, we see Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Mr. Big (Chris Noth) dancing in what appears to be their apartment kitchen. The duo then proceeds to share a passionate kiss.

The footage comes as a bit of a surprise, considering there have been rumors circulating that the pair would divorce. (Hey, it’s still possible.)

Per HBO Max’s press release, And Just Like That… will follow Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte as they “navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.”

In addition to Parker and North, the Max original will see the return of original cast members Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon as they reprise their beloved roles as Charlotte and Miranda. Other cast members include Sara Ramírez, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Willie Garson and Evan Handler. Parker, Davis and Nixon will serve as executive producers alongside Julie Rottenberg, Elisa Zuritsky, John Melfi and Michael Patrick King. Although Sex and the City was created by Darren Star, the story is based on the best-selling book by Candace Bushnell.

We guess we’ll just have to wait a little while longer to find out what’s really going on between Carrie and Big.
