Take That, Meghan Markle: Amy Schumer Welcomes a Baby Boy

It appears Amy Schumer now has something in common with Meghan Markle: They’re both moms to Tauruses.

The 37-year-old comedienne just confirmed that she and her husband, Chris Fischer, welcomed their first child, a baby boy whose name has yet to be announced. Schumer revealed the news on Instagram and shared a photo of her growing family, writing, “10:55 pm last night. Our royal baby was born.”

The news comes just one day after Schumer announced that she’s expecting a baby boy. The I Feel Pretty star shared a pic in the pediatrician’s office and revealed the child’s gender in the caption.

Back in October 2018, Schumer confirmed that she’s expecting her first child by photoshopping their faces onto the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Shortly after the announcement, she shared a video on Twitter in which she explained why they’re open to any gender.

“What I wanted to announce was the baby’s gender. We’re so excited to say that we don’t care what the gender is,” she said in the clip. “However the baby identifies is fine. Whatever the baby’s sexuality is, any way the baby identifies is cool with us. As long as it doesn’t identify as a DJ, ’cause that’s heartbreaking.”

Although Schumer hasn’t revealed any details about the baby’s name, we have no doubt the decision will result in an epic stand-up comedy routine.
