Amy Schumer’s dad just achieved a major milestone, and we’ve been completely reduced into a puddle of happy tears.
Schumer posted a tearjerker video on Instagram of her father, Gordon, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with his daughter with the help of a medical device.
She captioned the post, “My dad stood today with the help of a device. But he stood. Thank you to his nurse Sam. Dr Kanter and Dr Sadiq everyone at Tish [sic] for their MS stem cell work. Also Pure Prairie League for their song ‘Aime’ [sic] his favorite song. We had a good day.” (And, no, the correlation between Schumer’s name and her dad’s favorite song is not a coincidence.)
Gordon was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) when Amy was just 12 years old and relies on a wheelchair to get around.
Looks like the time Gordon met his idol, Goldie Hawn, will need to be bumped down to the number two spot, because this monumental moment just became our all-time fave.
