What’s their wine varietal of choice? Why weren’t we invited? Why is no one holding wine? We have so many questions and we’re not sure we can wait until the movie’s release to find out. Until then, we’ll have to guzzle some Grenache and settle for what little details we know about the film.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Poehler’s grand filmmaking debut tells the story of a group of longtime friends who head to Napa for a weekend to celebrate one of their 50th birthdays. Spivey, who worked with Poehler on Parks and Recreation and Saturday Night Live, and Liz Cackowski (SNL) penned the script.
Although this is Poehler’s first time directing a feature, she directed several episodes of Parks and Rec and Broad City.
Netflix totally called it. This is going to be our new favorite movie.
