Ariana Grande might've been onto something with her song, "God Is a Woman," because we agree, and we're pretty sure her name is Alexa.
Amazon's home devices are making the hands-free future a reality with the seemingly never-ending debut of new skills, but the latest one that allows you to never leave your home (or couch) again? Shop Whole Foods.
Yep, this is what we've all been waiting for. Since Amazon acquired the upscale grocery-store chain a year ago, we've seen lower prices in the store, Whole Foods products available on the e-commerce giant, Prime member discounts and so much more. And now, Alexa owners can shop the grocery-store from their couch.
Here's how it works: Just say, "Alexa, shop Whole Foods" to see if you live in a Prime Now location (32 cities in the U.S. and counting). Then, say "Alexa, add eggs to my Whole Foods cart." The items you add will appear in your Whole Foods cart via your Amazon app and website. When you're done, just say "Alexa, checkout," and she'll send a direct link so you can review your cart, choose a two-hour delivery window and pay.
