This Airline Is Offering Early Boarding to People Wearing Ugly Holiday Sweaters

If you thought that hideous pullover with (literal) bells and whistles was just for your friend’s annual ugly holiday sweater party, think again.

Alaska Airlines just announced that it will be celebrating “National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day” (yep, it’s a thing) this Friday, December 15, by offering early boarding to travelers wearing “festive holiday sweaters.”

This one-day promotion will be happening across its 115-city network and also includes flights operated by Virgin America and Horizon Air.

Sure, you may not love the idea of wearing a tinsel-covered sweater with flashing LED lights to the airport, but hey, early boarding is pretty damn sweet. The things we do for love extra overhead compartment space.
