Airbnb’s New Luxury Service Is Giving Us Serious Wanderlust
You already know that there are some pretty sweet Airbnbs out there, but now the home-sharing giant has launched a fancy new service that’s giving an entirely new meaning to the phrase “traveling in style.”
Dubbed Airbnb Plus, the high-end version of the site’s existing service is “intended for guests looking for beautiful homes” and for “exceptional hosts.” And judging by the images below, the homes don't disappoint.
The Airbnb Plus homes are verified by an IRL company employee for quality, style, easy check-in, essentials (like coffee), fast wi-fi and fully equipped kitchens.
In order to qualify for an Airbnb Plus listing, hosts need to fulfill a list of requirements including a 4.8 average rating from guests, a track record of accepting 95 percent of booking requests and no cancellations in the past year. Once accepted into the elite program, each home or room will be shot by photographers sent by the company.
Of course, all this luxury comes at a price. The Plus listings will cost $200 on average per night, which is double the $100 nightly average across Airbnb as a whole.
But considering that these homes are so nice that you may never want to leave your room, we think the cost seems pretty fair. Time to book our next vacay ASAP.
