While Hurricane Harvey continues to flood Texas and Louisiana, there are reportedly over 30,000 residents who will need temporary shelter. One company that’s hoping to help out, Airbnb, has activated its disaster-relief program. Its Urgent Accommodations allows residents located closer inland to offer their homes and apartments for free to those displaced by flooding, as well as to relief workers and service people. Property owners are still protected by Airbnb, but all service fees are waived.
