We'll never find someone quite like Adele, which is why we got *real* excited that she just made her return to social media.
The Grammy Award-winning singer gave us a surprise post on Instagram after four months away from the photo-sharing app. In honor of turning 33, Adele posted three photos of herself with the caption: "Thirty Free."
The slideshow features a gorgeous black-and-white portrait snapped by Alexandra Waespi, who shared the photo on her own story saying, "happy birthday," with a heart emoji. In the second image, Adele is seen swimming in some turquoise waters and smiling up at the sky with her arms outstretched, while the last photo features the singer twirling in a black, white and burgundy dress. The final pic was taken by photographer Raven B. Varona, who shared the same image to her own account, writing, "@adele inspired to capture you. grateful to call you a friend. xx."
The new 33-year-old seems joyous in the photos, and fellow celebs sent their well wishes in the comments. Writer and producer Ryan Tedder said, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY GURRRRLLLLL." Jamal Edwards commented, "That last pic is the real [dancing woman in red dress] emoji. happy birthday legend!!!"
However, since Adele has made a tradition of using her age as the title of her albums, many fans were anxious to know when the next release was coming. One user asked, "Is this the album announcement or?" Another commented, "Happy birthday you absolute goddess! New music soon please and thank you."
Adele's most-recent album (25) came out in November of 2015, and while we're anxious for more heart-wrenching ballads to scream in our car, we're happy to see the singer is celebrating her birthday in style.
