Not to Be Hyperbolic, but the ‘A Star Is Born’ Soundtrack Is Here & It’s Amazing
Warner Bros.

The moment we’ve all been waiting for is here: A Star Is Born premieres today. And while we may not be able to see it in theaters until after 5 p.m. (ugh, jobs), there is one way we can capture a snippet of the cinematic magic of Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga right now.

The A Star Is Born album, featuring vocals from both Cooper and “Goddess Gaga,” is officially available to stream, purchase and/or listen to fanatically.

This editor (hi!) just listened to the soundtrack, and it holds as much gravitas as expected. Some standouts include Gaga’s version of the Édith Piaf classic, “La Vie en Rose” (her accent is perfection), “Always Remember Us This Way,” and “Is That Alright?”

And of course, the hero songs “Maybe It’s Time” and “Shallow,” which have been stuck in our head since the trailer first started making the rounds, are transfixing. (Who knew Cooper could sing like that?)

There’s also inexplicable snippets of dialogue and a capella songs included in the album, but we’re not complaining.

Jackson and Ally (on repeat) forever.
