Miley Cyrus & Jimmy Fallon Went Undercover for Subway Station Spectacular
Miley Cyrus and Jimmy Fallon were disguised in some pretty excellent denim tuxedos to provide NYC subway dwellers with a surprise honky-tonk street performance yesterday.
As part of a very special The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon sketch, the “Wrecking Ball” singer concealed her identity under a long brown wig and straw cowboy hat. In the hilarious clip, Cyrus yells “Yeeehaww!” before diving into a moving rendition of her godmother Dolly Parton's classic song “Jolene.” Fallon, who looked suspiciously like the Cyrus patriarch Billy Ray, dished up a mean tambourine accompaniment to Cyrus's smooth vocals. What started as a desolate subway platform quickly transformed into an NYC-style Stagecoach Festival.
Upon concluding their duet, the pair removed their incognito garb and the captivated bystanders immediately had zero chill. Cyrus shared it was her first time in a subway station (sorry, can't relate there) and launched into our Spotify playlist staple her hit song, “Party in the USA.” She even went a little crazy with improved lyrics, singing, “It's a party in the sub-way.” We see what you did there, Miley...
Remove the nipple pasties, furry one-pieces and marijuana leaf merch, and the girl’s massive talent shines.
